Castiglion Fiorentino
Castiglion Fiorentino is situated on a lovely hill, which overlooks the Chiana valley at the foothills of the Apennine Mountains filled with olive trees. It is an ancient town and dates back to the Etruscan Age. It is a treasure trove of art and artifacts found in its various attractions including the Church of Saint Angelo, the palazzo Pretorio, the Loggiato Vasaiano, the Loggiato of the church of Gesu and the church of Consolazione. The Pinacoteca is filled with paintings of many famous artists. The ancient library with its orical and archives and local documents is of special interest.
