Bagno a Ripoli
Bagno a Ripoli can trace its origins to the Middle
Ages when it consisted of a number of parishes, which
had a main parish church and a few smaller churches
under it. In the last few decades it is becoming a fast
developing residential town thanks to its proximity
to Florence. This area is filled with many ancient churches,
farmhouses and castle. An Immense amount of effort has
been put in to conserve and restore them. A festival
of theatre, dance and music called "Danza Primavera"
is held annually between April and June. This area is
famous for its olive groves as well as its vineyards,
which provide many table wines and some of the famous
Chianti wines.
