Calenzano
Some consider Calenzano to be a dream town and yet it is an industrial town as it provides water to Florence. It has grown and developed along early Ligurian, Etruscan and Roman settlements. The Guidi Couts built a beautiful castle, which can still be visited. There are also a few prominent churches like the church of San Donata which was built between the ninth and tenth century, the church of S. Severo a Legri which was built in the eleventh century and the church of S. Maria a Carraia which was built in the tenth century. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside consisting of woods, olive groves and hills.
