Monteloro
Monteloro is a small village near Florence, Italy.
It is situated at the back of the Fiesole Hill. It is
filled with stepped vineyards, deep olive groves and
also many old oak trees and cypress trees. It is very
picturesque. It is possible to visit the ancient summer
residence of Dante Alighieri and also the house where
his Beatrice lived, which is also nearby. In the past
it was the favoured residence of the Florentine nobility
since it offered a salubrious climate and nature's beauty.
Many of these ancient farmhouses and villas have been
converted to commercial establishments for the thriving
tourist influx into this beautiful area in Tuscany.
