Mugello
Mugello is perhaps the most beautiful and pristine paradise in the Tuscan landscape. The Ligurians were the first inhabitants of the valley followed by the Etruscans and the Romans. The Medici family has left its impact with an ancient castle. The Lorenesi family also contributed to is development leading to the building of castles, villas and palaces. Its natural beauty, amazing landscape with its innumerable colours makes it a favourite backdrop for not only for artists but also encourages people to go trekking, horse riding and mountain biking. It is also the home of an international racing circuit. The Mugello International Racing Track was built in the seventies and was renovated by Ferrari in the late eighties.
