Tavarnelle
Tavarnelle lies along the Tavarone River, set against
the scenic backdrop of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National
Park. Although the medieval traces of the town are lost
some important buildings like the Franciscan Convent
of the Borghetto underline the importance of this village.
The Pieve di San Pietro in Bossolo is one of the sights
to visit. It has been converted to a Museum of Religious
Art. The annual Festa della Trota is held annually in
the first weekend of August. The village gets transformed
into a medieval marketplace. Tourists and locals like
to take part in the revelry, which includes wine, lam,
pastas and tortas.
