Matraia
Matraia is a small village high on the hills with the
same name. The name and the area both have Roman origins.
There is a typical rural character, which has remained,
pristine and true to its origins to date. It is primarily
an agricultural area with many vineyards and olive groves
in and around the villages. There are many farmhouses,
which have been renovated to accommodate tourists, and
are also agricultural entities primarily producing wines
and olive oil. There are many villas close by who gain
access to their needs in the shops of the village of
Matraia.
