Despite its American sounding name Danny Rock is much more than just a place to get your daily/ weekly dose of burgers especially cheeseburgers, and fries. Although it looks more like a fast food joint with its green metal chairs and tables and a basic décor it has a fairly extensive menu which is mainly a mix of American and Italian dishes.

Le Fonticine restaurant in San Lorenzo in Florence is named after the famous sixteenth century fountain near its entrance with the same name designed by Lucca della Robbia. The restaurant is situated quite close to the San Lorenzo market and the Central Market (Mercato Centrale) in Florence.
 
It is family run restaurant offering a warm ambience. The walls are filled with modern art collected over a period of over forty years. It is nice to sit at the tables at the back of the restaurant as you can walk past the open kitchen and grill which are a bit of a novelty?
 
The menu is quite extensive with a lot of pasta dishes. There are starters, first courses, second courses, sides, specials and of course desserts. If you love sea food like I do don’t miss the opportunity of visiting Da Stefano on Via Senese, Galluzo in the southern part of Florence. This restaurant has a fairly extensive menu and the excellent seafood available makes this the reason why many diners especially seek out this restaurant.

Da Stefano is open only during the evenings as the motto of the restaurant is “only, fish, only fresh and only evenings.” The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and in summer dining at the terrace is encouraged.
 
The menu at Da Stefano is simply yummy. All the dishes are popular and Stefano personally tells diners about the catch of the day and makes recommendations. Some of the more popular dishes include spaghetti with lobster, hot mixed seafood.
