run by the same family. It was first opened
in the former convent that is now the
Liceo Classico Galileo.
A 1910 photograph shows that the business
on the premises had the same name as that
of the current owners, even though they
were not at all related. During the Fascist
era, the Libreria Giorni had a vast stock
of used books and musical scores, including
many works that were on the regime's black
list. Since the fifties, the store has
also been selling original and reproduction
prints.
