Castaldini - The confectioner's
shop was opened in 1928. After being in
business for about 30 years the management
passed over to Enzo Castaldini
in 1956. Under Pietro Robiglio's guide
he created new types of cakes and invented
a special leaven used even today, particularly
for making handicraft-panettoni and dove-shaped
Easter cakes.
The artisan production
of the confectionery, still leaded by
Enzo Castaldini, ranges from chocolates,
to Easter eggs, pastries, biscuits, and
salted cakes and, besides serving residents
of the district, he supplies customers
all over Italy. All furnishings date back
to 1928. Especially valuable are the red
marble counter and the old wood shelves
with a vast wine and spirit collection.
The shop is on Ciale dei Mille,
47/r and the telephone number
is +39 055 579684.
