Come on a tasteful journey with the flavors of the past at the Antico Ristorante Paoli. Begun in 1824, it was restored by Andre in 1909. Come to Via dei Tavolini, 12/r, and view the lovely lunettes on canvas painted by Carlo Coppede which reflects shrouded hues of Boccaccio's Decameron. Beautiful paintings adorn the walls including the 'Saletta delle rose' by Galileo Chini, the decorative artist. The walls are decorated with writings on the virtues of good food. Lovely art deco style ceramics are also displayed with an artful touch dating back to 1919. Sit down on a bench and look up to see Cantagalli ceramics. A bust sculpted by Rivolta rests peacefully in its rare surroundings. Guido Pinto restored the restaurant to its original glory with touches of contemporary art by Guarnieri and Annnigoni.
