urban transport buses ply the streets
of Florence. They are run by two companies,
ATAF and LI-NEA. You can purchase tickets
and bus passes at the Box Ataf in Piazza
Stazione, bars, newstands, tobacconists.
You ticket must be stamped on the machines
on board. If you are travelling between
9 p.m. and 6 a.m., tickets can be purchased
aboard from the driver at € 2.00.

On foot
All main attractions
and monuments in Florence are located
within walking distance. So its best you
don’t use your car in the city-centre.
The best way to see this historical city
is on foot as besides not having to deal
with find a parking spot, you can take
walk at your own pace, taking in the beauty
of the city. But don’t forget to carry
a city map, which is available in the
tourist offices.
