Castello Buondelmonti is a historic castle in Tuscany for holiday rentals in the heart of Chianti Region of Tuscany, Italy. The castle is divided into 5 Apartments of different sizes all with private access.
The Castle has a long history: in the writing of the Passignano`s Abbey, kept in the florentine civil file, you read that the Buondelmonti`s castle was in the possession of the noble origine Buondelmonti and then of their consorts called Scolari. The descendants of Buondelmonti changed their name in Scolari from Scolaio dei Buondelmonti, who became implacable enemies : Guelphs and Ghibellines.
There is a restaurant situated in the oldest part of the villa where wine was once fermented in large chestnut barrels. The restaurant is reserved exclusively for our guests.
The specialties of our region, including homemade pasta, roasts, and game, are served to our guests in the ambience of a typical Tuscan wine cellar with arched brick ceilings and stone walls. Discover the flavours of another era in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is open for dinner on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. During the rest of the week, the restaurant is open upon request (minimum 10 people).

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Castello Benedetta. Owners were gracious hosts and couldn`t have been more helpful. The food they serve in the restaurant on weekends is to die for. We dined with guests from 5 other countries while we were there. We got to know the other guests and looked forward to seeing them in the evenings. We shared some great wine with people from all over the world. The property is beautiful and the apartment was very spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get the real feel of and taste of Tuscany.

The villas are beautifully located. It was convenient to get to Florence. The service was great. We really enjoyed our dinners at the villa.

Hi there,
We enjoyed our stay at the Villa. It was fun for the kids. The view was spectacular! The pool was great.
Because of the location (on the top of the mountain) it is quite a drive. The owners were good at providing fresh bread every morning if required as they go into town every morning.
Their restaurant was wonderful. The food was really delicious!
They have a great dog "Raoul" which my kids loved but the big hit was the horse and pony they have down the road. We had to go every day with bread and fruit for them.
I have some great pictures that I will forward.
