Luxury villa rental in Chianti region of Greve in Chianti near Florence & Siena, Italy. The villa is about 5 kms in the hills above the charming market town of Greve in Chianti. Greve in Chianti is halfway between Florence and Siena, within easy reach of both historic towns. Villa Greve has been recently renovated by a team of English and Italian architects, the villa sits in a beautiful Chianti valley close to the lovely historical towns of Florence, Siena, San Gimignano Radda in Chianti, Gaiole and Castellina-in-Chianti.

This Chianti villa is composed by a main villa and the granary. The granary which is a few steps to the east of the villa includes a spectacular upstairs sitting room with sound system, and a downstairs bedroom and bathroom with shower.

Main Villa: At ground level, there are two bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom (with bath) and a small room with two single beds, using the downstairs cloak/shower room. On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms: two south-facing double-bedded rooms have fabulous views down the valley, with en suite shower/bathrooms, the third upstairs double bedded room has its own Tuscan style fireplace and bathroom with bath, reached through a dressing room with 2 additional single beds.

The villa has a double height dining room at ground level with large table seating 12-20 people. There is a gallery above and a large traditional Tuscan fireplace. This rests in front of a large inglenook fireplace for winter fires or summer grills. The dining room leads to outside terraces with lovely views of the surrounding woodland. The kitchen is fully fitted with five hob gas cooker, electric ovens, dishwasher and deluxe refrigerator and freezer with ice maker. Also included is a food processor and juicer. The kitchen surfaces are finished in elegant travertine with a carved stone sink. The villa also has a laundry area with washer and dryer.

The pool of 20 X 40 foot, with diving board and night lights, is immediately adjacent to the house. Nearby to the pool is a large loggia and shaded dining area, complete with a working wood-fired bread oven for all manner of outdoor cooking.

Villa Greve rests in beautiful landscapes with hills on all side. The villa is at 620 m elevation, in a temperate climate surrounded by terraces landscaped with predominantly olive trees and green woodland. The surrounding woods are oak and sweet chestnut with some mediterranean pines. The villa is surrounded with borders containing typical mediterranean plants and shrubs such as rosemary, lavender, herbs and numerous wild flowers. In season, there is an abundance of butterflies.

This luxury villa in Chianti is avaible for vacation rentals throughout the year. A 4 wheel drive "Land Rover Discovery" is available for rental with the villa at a cost of £400 per week including insurance.
